Professionals who work with children and families often give continuously of themselves, yet the ongoing demands of high-needs work can lead to compassion fatigue and burnout. This seminar explores the biological and emotional impact of chronic stress and the science behind why self-care is not a luxury but a human necessity.

Practical strategies to support wellbeing in both personal and professional contexts will be described, including a program that has embedded ongoing self-care activities within their workplace will share their approach.  The seminar will focus on how nurturing our own balance strengthens our capacity to show up with presence, empathy, and sustainability in our work with others.
