Hosted by the Central Chapter of the ILAIMH, professionals throughout the state are invited to a virtual ILAIMH seminar that will be held via Zoom.

Seminar Description

As professionals working with young children and families, we know about the importance of play and how children make use of play in order to develop their capacities, heal through trauma, and create relationships.  However, as professionals we may not always receive enough training in being playful ourselves.  We find that using ourselves in a playful and creative way in our work facilitates growth and expression.  In this presentation we will offer space for reflection and creative and playful self care, so as to be more present and available with clients.  Especially during this time of COVID-19 and telehealth, where clinicians are feeling overwhelmed and disconnected, we believe it is important to have time to connect with one another and expand on our capacities to respond clinically.

Please have the following available for this seminar:  a magazine or two, glue, scissors and an old folder or card stock cut to approximately 5 x 8 inches (if it’s a challenge to have these things, any paper and writing implement will work!).

EI credit hours have been requested and Social Work CEUs are being researched.
