The clinical process of Art Therapy provides a unique insight into the development of the infant mind and their relationships. This unique and creative infant/caregiver interaction allows families to explore their tactile environment to effectively communicate without words. This intervention strives to prevent mental health disorders throughout the lifespan and preserve valuable bonding.

Rachel Ackerman holds a Masters in Counseling and Art Therapy from Adler University in Chicago. She is also a DONA trained birth doula and has advanced training in Perinatal Mood Disorders from Postpartum Support International.

Co-sponsored by the Center for Practice Excellence at JCFS-Chicago. CEUs are available. The  Early Intervention Training program has approved this for 2 hours in Intervention.
